Local Lake News.

One of our local papers, The Timberjay, has published two Lake Vermilion specific stories in their most recent edition.

"Tower's harbor planning now in high gear" updates us on planning and design work for the Tower, Minnesota riverfront improvement project. "Minntac tailings basin, Pike River at record lows" relates how continued drought conditions are affecting the Lake Vermilion watershed.

Update:

Loyal reader Than has alerted LVRE.com to a story in the Duluth News Tribune titled "Group wants to keep the past afloat". This is an interesting Lake Vermilion story by Lee Bloomquist about the Stuntz Bay boathouses.

Thanks, Than!
