About one year ago, the the St. Louis County Planning Department started a project called the Lake Vermilion Management Plan. Two Committees (consisting of technical advisors, representatives from local government units, and concerned interest groups) have met monthly to develop a model which would address the economic and environmental issues associated with a large lake. This model will become a recommendation to the St. Louis County Board. The most recent meeting was held on January 15th.
If you would like additional details on the work of the Committees and their future meeting dates, please visit the St. Louis County Planning Department web page dedicated to the project. The monthly meetings are open to the public and citizen input is welcomed.
