Lake Vermilion water access cabin offered at $229,000
1 acre Lake Vermilion/Daisy Bay building lot, $370,000
I thought I'd make it through March. But no. The symptoms are obvious. They're right here on this page.
I've got "Blogger's Block".
It's been three plus days of steady floundering. The blogosphere has drained my energy, pulled me under, and deposited me on a desolate blogger's beach for anyone's easy pickin'.
Don't get me wrong. The market is active and there is plenty to do. That proverbial hint of Spring is in the air. We're headed for the pleasures of Summer.
It's just that my bloggestive tract is obstructed. I think it's self-inflicted. I need a minor change of diet. And a slight adjustment in attitude. Maybe a walk in the woods. These events are temporary and should not be unexpected.
FYI, open burning restrictions will go into effect on April 2nd. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources anticipates a "dryer than normal" Spring season due to the combination of minimal snow cover and reduced precipitation.
The St. Louis County Planning Department has a nifty online resource guide handily titled the "Information Guide".
The information included would be a "great contact list for property owners and businesses". If you own Lake Vermilion property or if you plan to own Lake Vermilion property, this 5 page .pdf-based document would be worth bookmarking or printing for future reference. Check it out.
Loyal reader Than has alerted LVRE.com to a story in the Duluth News Tribune titled "Group wants to keep the past afloat". This is an interesting Lake Vermilion story by Lee Bloomquist about the Stuntz Bay boathouses.
I don't normally use this space to call attention to the content posted here but... this blog was mentioned on another blog called "Real Estate In The Twin Cities Metro Area" in October of last year. (I just noticed this last evening.)
This list noted real estate related blogs from across the USA that were worth a visit. This blog (LakeVermilionRealEstate.com) was one of six listed in Minnesota.
Although it came to me via a convoluted route... Pittsburgh to the Twin Cities to Lake Vermilion, I am belatedly grateful for this obscure notoriety. Thanks to all who made it happen.
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has issued a request for comments on the Lake Management Plans for the Tower (MN) Fisheries Area. Lake Vermilion (as well as other area lakes) is included in this group.
If you would like a copy of the plans please send an email here.
This Pelican Lake building lot has got a wonderful view.
It is in a great location with excellent year round road access. Pelican Lake offers very good real estate value and this lot is an excellent example of how far your dollar can go!
I have added photos to the left and right side bar areas. The left side is a selected group of current available properties. Clicking on the photos will bring you to a Flickr.com page with an enlarged version of that photo with additional property information. The photos on the right are from previous LVRE.com posts.
These images are added to, hopefully, enhance the visual appeal of this web site. I hope you agree!
Also, I am pleased to announce this post as my 1000th post!
