My neighbor on the lake has a nice apple tree on their lot.
I have always had a weakness for “pick it off the tree and eat it type apples”. These apples exploited that flaw .
So I ate a few.
I ate them without my neighbor’s knowledge. (This post may be my undoing.) They were smallish. They were tart. They were tasty.
The Lake Vermilion area is not known as a prime apple growing area. Certainly it offers nothing comparable to Bayfield, Wisconsin area. Their apple festival is second to none.
So… keep an eye out for wild fruit opportunities.
And speaking of which… take a look at the abundant low hanging fruit offered by the local real estate market.
The time for the local harvest is now.
