Woolly BearDogs and Caterpillars.

I think the dog days of Summer have become the dog days of Fall. The quantity and quality of new content here is evidence that our recent hot September weather has adversely affected my available energy.

I think I’ve turned the corner, however.

I was able to catch up to this fuzzy specimen the other day. It’s a Woolly Bear Caterpillar.

Long established folk lore says the length and severity of the coming winter can be determined by the size of the Woolly Bear’s Caterpillar’s stripe.

Can this be true?
