The local news sources have had several recent articles concerning the fate of a large portion of Lake Vermilions’ eastern shore. This contentious issue involves shoreline owned by US Steel Corporation. Breitung Township residents and US Steel had differing opinions on appropriate zoning for the property and minimum lot (and frontage) size. These two local newspaper articles tell the story.
