Road constructionPublic Service Announcement!

You know what they say about Minnesota and our 2 seasons… well, the other season is now officially underway.

This photo (taken earlier today) validates the event.

The project that gave us the Trans-Vermilion Highway has just started it’s second phase. This new stretch of road, that we have quickly become attached to and wonder how we ever got along without, is about to be intermittently and temporarily taken away from us. Highway 115, the road that ties Highway 77 (on the Tower end of the lake) to Highway 24 (on the Cook end of the lake) is going to have it’s westerly portion rebuilt. It’s looks like a substantial project with several stretches of prime northeastern Minnesota bog to be converted to new blacktop.

Drive and detour safely.
