CowslipsTake the time to stop and smell the Caltha palustris.

What do you call them?

Marsh marigolds?

Cowslips?

Water googles?

Some interesting notes about this common wild flower are: 1) They are actually a member of the buttercup family. 2) They are toxic to livestock. 3) The plant can cause dermatitis in some people.

They have always been “Cowslips” to me.
