Real estate activity has seen a definite increase in the last couple of weeks. The interest in lakefront property is always strong but I think the increased activity this year is the result of some buyers and sellers shedding their “wait and see” attitudes. I believe those apprehensive attitudes were the result of war-worries and general economic concerns. During this period, lakeshore values weathered the storm and remained solid.
That’s not a surprise.
And what if lakeshore property interest continues to build? It possible we could see upward pressure on values similar to the mid and late 1990’s? That might be extreme. But it’s a very safe bet lakeshore property will continue to gain value.
