Every once in a while, I am reminded why I live in the Lake Vermilion area. Today the reminder came without a prompt. It was unexpected. And it was subtle. But it was a reminder, without a doubt.
I had the opportunity to boat across a stretch of unfamiliar water.
It was midmorning. The sky was clear and the sun was brilliant. The air was warm. The lake was still. All else was blue and green. That mid-summer pine woods aroma was in the air.
And that’s all there was.
A complete reminder.
