Run Down The Lake.
I had to take the boat down the lake late this afternoon. I needed to drop by a cabin on the far eastern end of the lake on Pine Island. Now, typically, my starting point is on the far western end of the lake. The good news… that’s a nice long ride down one of the greatest lakes on the planet. The bad news… what bad news?
The boat powered through a moderate chop and the steady breeze pushed a little spray into the air. It was near perfect boat riding conditions. After the work was done it was time to head back home. The lake was nearly void of other boats. And I was treated to a signature Lake Vermilion sunset as I drove back west.
