September 30, 2003
Just under the wire.
We almost got through September without a snowflake. And then it appeared. You know what I mean. That sky. That certain kind of sky seen at no other time of year. You know the one. A stiff northwest wind blowing a continuous stream of individually massed squall clouds. Each mass separated by a period of sun. Then a squall cloud filled with a snow/rain/sleet mix. Today was one of those days.
Even though tomorrow is the first of October, today was a day with an October sky.
