Our local electrical supplier, Lake Country Power, is having their Annual Meeting this Saturday, the 26th, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. The meeting starts at 10AM, but show up at 9AM and they will treat you to a continental breakfast.
One of the current hot topics at LCP is AMR, or Automated Meter Reading. This project will convert customer meters to a new and “smarter” version that will allow automatic usage readings plus additional benefits for maintenance and repair. The conversion will begin this Spring and will take about 5 years to complete.
