The Opener.
Overall, the Opener was marginal. That is, the fishing was great but the catching was marginal. We scraped frost off the fishing boat on Saturday morning. It was clear with bright sun but the temperature was in the mid-20’s at sunrise.
Sunday was warmer with a southerly wind. We did have reasonable walleye action on Sunday evening but I think there are better angling days ahead.
