DandelionsYellow Gold.

Although you certainly do not have to go to the lake to get a photo similar to this, I offer it here as simply a widely recognizable Spring image.

It’s the Dandelion, a yard full of them. So full of them that the yellow saturated image said, “Take my picture”.

A quick search for details on the dreaded yellow weed reveals an interesting history, some common facts, and a number of Dandelion-based recipes.

Yes, these yellow fields of Dandelion are common in the Lake Vermilion area. But… there are some folks in these parts who are beginning to think the local color of interest is not yellow.

Some believe the color is gold!
