(Digital) News Boy.

When I was but a wee lad I had a paper route.

I would get up on the pre-dawn, pre-school light to deliver 70+ newspapers that, I swear, weighed more that I did. With full appreciation of that experience in my forever memory I am thankful for today’s options for news delivery. I’ve been on a mission the last few days to enhance the delivery options for the information contained in this website.

Each of these improvements is subscription-based. In other words you do not have to open your web browser and navigate to this site to read what is new here.

Now… you can have new posts automatically sent to your email inbox.

Or you can receive timely notices, via email, on selected new or reduced price property listings.

Or you can now have LVRE.com delivered to your favorite news (feed) reader via RSS! Why would I do that and what is RSS anyway? Well…

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It’s a slick way to deliver web-based information to anyone who subscribes to the news service. That information is automatically received into a news reader on your computer (or phone).

Google and Wikipedia have additional information on the subject.

If you decide an RSS feed is for you here’s all you need to do. First, get a news reader. NewsGater is a popular news reader and you can download it here. And then subscribe to the LVRE.com feed by clicking the “Subscribe!” icon in the upper right hand corner of this page.

What a great service! And it’s all free! Plus… I don’t have to worry about that Black Lab on Lakeview Drive.
